Kailtyn:
She loves make beleive. She changes her name every day to her pretend names, Ariel, Jasmine, Odette, Cinderella are just a few. She loves celebrating birthdays. We "make" a cake (you know the 0 calorie air kind, and "wrap" presents. She will start a little preschool once a week. This will be so great for her! She loves to pretend that she is the mom and I am her child. Her theatrical talents never cease to amaze me. She can cry on demand and is very convincing. Sometimes when she tells me that barney has died, I really think he did. One time she ate a poisonous apple and fell to the ground and I had no idea what to do. She whispered, "mom go call Aladdin". So I called him and he came. She puckered her lips and gracefully rose from the bed looking around with a look I can't describe, princess- like might be a good word! She loves playing with girls and frequently tells me that we need to leave the boys at home and go on girl dates. Kailtyn is so affectionate and caring and the my favorite thing she says is, "Mom, I really love you!"

Jaxon: Jaxon plays make believe right along with Kailtyn. He fights dragons, aliens and monsters. And sometimes he is one of those things and we have to run for our lives. He is caring. The other week we had a soccer game (Josh and I play) and afterward he ran around with a bunch of kids kicking the ball and when someone would fall, he asked if they were okay and helped them up. I love that little guy. He loves sports and is usually throwing balls and hitting with anything that looks bat-like. He also has asked me to slow dance a couple of times- so those princess movies have turned him into a real charmer. The other night we were pretendning have ladybugs in our hands and he came up to me and said all distraught, "My lady bug c(r)ying!" He started to "cry" to and then I "gave" the lady bug food and it flew up high in the sky and he chased that pretend lady bug all over the living room! I love the minds of children. He talks so well and is so eager to learn. He now mimics me by saying, "Are you kidding me?" He yells it too, it's pretty funny!

Jett: He is the happiest baby ever! His demeanor has a calming effect on all of us. He just makes everyone happy! He sleeps through night most nights and wakes up happy! I can't ask for more than that. At 5 months he weighed 15 lb 13oz. So he is much bigger than the other two. Kailtyn weighed 17 pounds at a year- I can't believe how small she was! He is rolling around the floor like crazy. He doesn't stay in one spot any more, he just rolls and rolls. He is so ticklish, so that's pretty fun for me! He also, loves bath time. He splashes like crazy.

My perspective on life has changed I think pretty drastically. Long story short, I try not to sweat the little things and make memories with the people I love. The key word here is TRY! I can count numerous occasions where I got mad and frustrated because my kids wanted me to play with them and I was trying to do the dishes, fold laundry or you know do something so very important that the mere threat of it going undone would result in total world destruction. I phrase it that way because I reacted that way. Anyway, I have realized how special this time is. It's a time where my kisses make any owies disappear; I am a magical healer who knew! It's a time where Kailtyn thinks I am the coolest person to hang out with and frequently tells me, "I don't want to play with friends today, just us." It's a time when they all think I'm funny (Josh still has yet to learn that I'm hilarious!). It's a time when I can be a kid with my kids.
Anyway, to all the moms out there, your kids think you're a rock stars and I hope we all accept that and then live up to our rock star reputation.

In all seriousness, my kids are just awesome and so funny! I'm not biased at all but they may be the best children to ever exist. Okay I say that now, because they are all sound asleep but they are great kids.
Josh/ Daddy: Josh is always up to something. So here is the new something, he sold his motorcycle to buy a car, an 87 BMW (I think that's right, I may need correction). He was sad to see his motorcycle go but he was excited to get a car. He had to make a grown up descision and choose practical over fun! I love that Josh supported my love for Germany by purchasing a German car. He passed the test when he liked Sauer Kraut and soccer- getting a german car is the cherry on top. He doing this business plan competition and if he wins the school level, he than goes to nationals in Utah. His plan is awesome and he has a website! I'll post that later because I do not have the URL!

I loved your post, I sure miss my Mississippi babies. I am scheming a plan to visit.
Great post, Ashley!! I really need to learn how to not allow my kids getting in the way of cleaning lead to total world destruction. I'm kinda terrible at that. Not that you would know it since my house is never clean, but I feel STRESSED to the max about it! UGH. I don't want to waste these years away over it. Hope you're doing well.
Miss you.
Amanda
